The tasteful 3193 Oxford Chair Low Back is a delight of understated simplicity. Its clear, organic lines seem to follow the curves of the body and give the impression of a light and soft chair. The contrast between the upholstered seat and the metal base and (optional) armrests completes the chair’s stylish image.
Arne Jacobsen designed the Oxford Chair in 1963 at Oxford University. The chair was intended for the professors of the school, hence its original name, the 'Professors Chair'.
The star-shaped base of the chair, on castors, and optional armrests are chrome-plated aluminum. The design also features a rotating seat. The upholstery is available in classic or premium leather in a range of colors.
