Authority and good taste are the marks of Arne Jacobsen’s Oxford Chair High Back. Its firm lines seem to mean business, and the ergonomically designed curves support the back and ensure a comfortable seat, even for long periods. The combination of the upholstered seat with the metal base and (optional) armrests gives any room a touch of sophistication.
Jacobsen designed the Oxford Chair in 1963 at Oxford University. The chair was intended for the professors of the school, hence its original name, the 'Professors Chair'.
The star-shaped base of the chair, with castors if desired, and optional armrests are chrome-plated aluminum. The seat is also equipped with a swivel function. The upholstery is available in classic or premium leather in a range of colors.
