The lamp belongs to the large PH3-shade-product family, which is based on the idea of reflecting light.
The PH5 therefore provides a soft light in a way that is easy for the eyes. The shape of the shade is built on a logarithmical helix, which focal spot hosts the illuminant. The design of the reflectors ensures that the light spreads in both vertical and horizontal directions. The lamp is entirely made of aluminum.

InFurn inspired by Poul Henningsen (1894 - 1967)

Januar 1967 in Hillerød, ebenda)was a Danish designer, author, architect and critic and one of the most decisive people of the cultural life in Denmark between the world wars. Poul Henningsen was the extramarital son of the authoress Agnes Henningsen and the satirist Carl Ewald. He spent his childhood in a tolerant and modern home which was often visited by famous authors. At the age of eighteen he commenced his architectural studies. When he discontinued his studies after 6 years, he tried as an inventor and painter. As an architect he was a strong advocate of the functionalism. Poul Hennigsen drew in 1925 the luminous "PH" named after him.
