The LTR (Low Table Rod Base) by Charles Eames is a fantastically simple and tasteful side table. It was inspired by Japanese culture and Eames and his wife Ray incorporated some of these tables into a tea ceremony at their home. The beveled edges of the table top are kept in a natural wood color, providing an appealing contrast with the surface. The wire base was created after Eames observed all the "fantastic things being made of wire" in the late 1940s. The table’s compact form makes it ideal to fit into even small spaces.
INFURN’s reproduction of this attractive table is made of plywood with the top painted black or white. The wire base is formed of steel rods.
