This is a reproduction of the modernist Eileen Grays's Non-Comformist Chair. Modernists in the 1920s and 1930s were of the opinion, that the shape of a furniture should only be determined by the material use and product functionality. This implied, that they made furniture’s by using a minimum of parts and avoided embellishment – this also implied colors.
This chair only has one arm and it is designed to contain the user's preferred resting position.
