The Oxford Chair High Back exudes authority. The combination of the upholstered seat and the metal base and (optional) armrests conveys an image of unpretentious finesse.Arne Jacobsen designed the Oxford Chair in 1963 while at St. Catherine‘s College, Oxford. The chair was intended for the professors of the school, hence its original name, the 'Professors Chair'. The five-star base of the chair, with castors if desired, and optional armrests are made out of chrome-plated aluminum. The seat is also equipped with a swivel function. The upholstery is available in classic or premium leather in a range of colors.
