The Arne Jacobsen Floor Lamp is a design icon. Its sleek conception makes it equally at home in a retro or modern setting. The lamp emits a directable but gentle glow, courtesy of its unique shape and the white interior of the shade. The AJ Standard was developed in 1960 as part of the SAS Royal Hotel project in Copenhagen. Arne Jacobsen adorned the hotel with exclusive furniture and lighting, including the legendary Egg Chair and Swan Chair. The lamp is defined by its large shade and the slender base and cast. The shade, the head and the pipe of INFURN’s reproduction is formed of drawn steel and painted in a range of colors. The AJ lamp is part of a set including a wall and desk lamp.
