  • Unique design
  • Great comfort
  • Stackable to save space

The organic form of the Ripple Chair reflects Ron Arad’s interest in patterns and shapes occurring in nature. The circular aperture on the seating shell adds to the lightness and elegance of the design, while the sturdy base provides stable seating support. The ripple relief of the surface and the unique form of the backrest create the distinctive look of the chair, which is a favourite amongst interior designers and style experts alike. Beautiful as well as functional, this quality replica of the Ripple Chair is also stackable, which is a practical feature when you need to save space. The playful design is suitable for both domestic and public spaces and adds an artistic feel to the interior.

We reproduce the distinctive Ripple Chair with polypropylene plastic shell. The sturdy base frame is available in varnished steel, stainless steel or chrome plated.

Born in Tel Aviv in 1951, Ron Arad embarked on his art education in the Jerusalem Academy of Art, before continuing later at the Architectural Association of London. He made his name in the early 1980s as a self-taught designer-maker of sculptural and creative furniture, combining playful forms and shapes whilst experimenting with different technologies. Recognized as one of the most inventive and influential designers of our time, Ron Arad has created inspiring concepts and designs that have featured in some of the leading museums worldwide. Alongside his design work, Arad is also renowned for his contributions to modern architecture, having been celebrated on numerous commissions for retail and restaurant interiors. Projects include the Covent Garden and Chalk Farm studios, the 2001 technology floor of Selfridges department store in London and the 2003 Y’s Store for the Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto in Tokyo. His grandest and most revered design project to date was for the iconic Tel Aviv Opera House in the city of his birth, 1994.
